What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others follow you around the internet to show you adverts. This site uses the first kind and none of the second.

What this site uses

Essential cookies only. That means a cookie that remembers your consent choice so the banner does not reappear on every page, and the technical basics the hosting platform needs to serve the site securely. These are exempt from consent under the ePrivacy rules because the site cannot function without them.

For visitor numbers I use [Analytics tool], a privacy-friendly analytics service hosted in the EU. It shows me aggregate figures such as which pages are read and where visitors come from. It is configured not to build profiles of individual people. If the tool is set up in a way that requires consent, the banner asks you first and nothing runs until you agree.

What this site never uses

No advertising pixels. No remarketing tags. No social media trackers. No cross-site tracking of any kind. If I run Google Ads for a client, that happens in the client's account and has nothing to do with your visit here.

Withdrawing consent

If you gave consent for analytics and change your mind, use the cookie settings link in the footer to reopen the banner and switch it off. The change takes effect straight away. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, and every mainstream browser lets you block them entirely.
