Your next client is not searching for your name. They are searching for their problem.
Consultancy sites talk about the firm, its history and its values, and the work still arrives entirely by referral. The buyer with a budget and a deadline is typing their problem into Google, and finding somebody who wrote about it.

What usually goes wrong on a consultancy site
Expertise is the product, and expertise is invisible until it is written down somewhere a stranger can read it.
The site is about you, not about them
Founded in, values, our people, our approach. All of it true, none of it what somebody with a problem is searching for at eleven at night.
Everything arrives by referral and that feels fine
Until a referral source retires or a quarter is quiet. A pipeline you cannot influence is not a pipeline, it is weather.
Your expertise is in your head and nowhere else
The thing that makes you worth hiring has never been written down in a form a search engine or a stranger can find.
Case studies say we helped a leading client
Anonymous, numberless and interchangeable. A prospect cannot tell whether you have solved their problem or merely something adjacent to it.

What I would change
Move the site from describing the firm to answering the buyer.
Pages built on the questions clients ask
The ones you answer on every first call. Those questions have search volume and buying intent, which is a rarer combination than it sounds.
A page per service, in the client's words
Named for the problem rather than the methodology. People search for what is wrong, not for the framework you use to fix it.
Case studies with numbers
What the situation was, what you did, what changed. Named where you have permission, anonymous but specific where you do not.
Proof of the individual, not just the firm
In professional services people buy a person. Named authors, real photographs and actual credentials do more than a company history.
An enquiry that fits how consultancies are bought
A conversation, not a shopping cart. Low commitment first step, and a clear statement of what happens after it.
Something worth citing
Original data, a framework or a piece of research. It is the only reliable way a professional services site earns links rather than begging for them.
Rather just ask? One question by email or WhatsApp is fine.
What I will not do
Four habits that keep expertise invisible.
No page about your founding year
Nobody with a problem at eleven at night is searching for when your firm was established or what your values are.
No we helped a leading client
Anonymous and numberless is indistinguishable from invented. Sector, situation, number and outcome persuade even with the name withheld.
No methodology as the headline
Buyers search for what is wrong, not for the framework that fixes it. The framework is why they stay, not why they arrive.
No hiding behind the firm
In professional services people buy a named human with a face and a track record. A logo and a we cannot do that job.
A furniture retailer: three storefronts, three ad accounts and a CRM
A Dutch furniture retailer with three brands and a ten to twelve week order cycle, where the online numbers alone made a busy business look like a failing one until the measurement was fixed.
Ready when you are. No form to fill in, and no call required to get started.
Fair questions
We get all our work by referral. Why bother?
Because referrals check the site before calling, and because referral flow is not something you control. The first job is usually converting the referrals you already get.
We cannot name our clients.
Then the case studies stay anonymous but specific: the sector, the situation, the numbers and the outcome. That is far more persuasive than a name with nothing attached.
Who writes the content?
I do, from interviews with you, because the substance has to come from you. Nothing is generated and published unread.
How much of my time will this take?
About an hour a month once it is running, plus reading drafts. The interview is the part that cannot be skipped.
Is our market too niche for search?
Niche usually helps. Fewer searches, but far less competition and much higher intent. That is a better position than fighting for a broad term you cannot win.
What does it cost?
Published in full. A rebuild starts at 1,450 euro fixed, monthly work at 490 euro, and the 15 point check costs nothing.
