Manchester has no shortage of agencies. It has a shortage of published prices.
Manchester carries one of the densest digital agency populations outside London, which means the problem here is rarely finding somebody. It is working out what you are actually buying, because almost nobody will tell you the number until you have sat through a call. I publish every price, send the first report before any money moves, and work entirely in writing from Pakistan.
Start with the free 15 point site check. Two working days, no call required.

What usually goes wrong on a Manchester site
Three agencies in, nothing owned
A site that has been round several suppliers tends to carry three tracking scripts, two analytics accounts nobody can log into and a redirect map that was never written down. The first job is finding out what you actually hold.
The quote never arrives as a number
A market this crowded trains everyone to hide the price until they have built rapport. That is a tactic, not a service, and it wastes the weeks you need the work done in.
A rebuild that lost the rankings
Replatforming is where search position goes to die, because every address changes shape at once and nobody maps the old ones. It is avoidable, and it is avoided by writing the redirects before the design.
Reports that measure the agency
Impressions up, position up, enquiries flat. A report that never mentions the inbox is reporting on itself.
Not sure which of those it is? Send the web address and the written 15 point check says so in two working days, free.
What the work actually is
The same list whether you are in Manchester or anywhere else I work.
The 15 point technical check
Speed, indexing, structured data, redirects, consent and the rest, written out in the order worth fixing rather than as a 90 page export.
Pages for what buyers search
Most sites describe what the company does. Buyers search for the problem they have. Those are different pages and the second kind is usually missing.
A redirect map before anything moves
Written first, tested on the live site after, so a rebuild or a platform move keeps the positions you already earned.
Tracking that waits for consent
Nothing fires before somebody agrees, verified by watching the network rather than trusting the plugin's own claim.
Google Ads on a flat fee
A fixed monthly amount whatever you spend, with the account in your name and changes batched so bidding is not reset every week.
Shopify and WooCommerce moves
Product data rebuilt rather than dumped across, feeds built by hand when the official app cannot, and the domain kept.
Custom systems when software is the problem
A CRM, an order tracker or an internal tool, built in Python and Django and owned outright by you.
Plain monthly notes
What changed, what moved, what did not, and what I am doing next. Written so you can forward it without translating it.
Want the number first? Every price is published, including the ones I would not charge you.
Why a crowded market is actually good news for you
The usual advice is to avoid competitive markets. For hiring, the opposite holds. Manchester has enough suppliers that you can insist on terms that would be laughed at elsewhere: the price in advance, the accounts in your name, the first piece of work before any commitment. If a supplier will not do those three, there are forty more.
What the density does not fix is comparison. Two proposals for the same site can differ by a factor of five and describe themselves in identical language. The only reliable way through is to compare what is written down: the exact pages, who writes the words, who owns the code and the accounts, what twelve months costs with every renewal in it, and what happens if you leave. Ten minutes with those questions sorts most lists.
How remote actually works, day to day
I am in Pakistan, three to four hours ahead of the UK. In practice that means work is already done when your day starts, and anything you send in the afternoon has an answer by the next morning. There is no office to visit, no software for you to learn, and no standing meeting.
You get a written note every month saying what changed and what moved. Everything else happens by email or WhatsApp, in your own time. If a project ever needed somebody physically present in Manchester, I would tell you that before taking it rather than after.
A furniture retailer: three storefronts, three ad accounts and a CRM
A Dutch furniture retailer with three brands and a ten to twelve week order cycle, where the online numbers alone made a busy business look like a failing one until the measurement was fixed.
What I will not do
Said before you ask, because it is usually the deciding part.
Promise a position
Nobody controls Google's results, and anyone who promises a ranking is either guessing or lying. I will tell you what I expect to move and roughly when, in writing, and you can hold me to that instead.
Hold your accounts
Analytics, Search Console and every ad account are registered in your name from day one. If you stop working with me you lose nothing but me.
Bill a percentage of ad spend
A percentage pays me more when you spend more, which is the wrong incentive. Advertising is a flat monthly fee whatever the budget does.
Take the work if it is the wrong spend
If the free check says your problem is not a website problem, the report says so and I tell you what would actually help, even when that is nothing I sell.
Rather just ask? One question by email or WhatsApp is fine.
Fair questions before you get in touch
You are not based here. Does that matter?
It has not so far. Everything runs by email and WhatsApp, the accounts are in your name, and no project I have run depended on being in the room. If what you want is somebody who will come to your office, I am the wrong choice and I would rather say so now.
What does it cost?
The 15 point check is free. A full audit with a 90 day plan is 290 euro and comes off whatever you buy next. Monthly search work starts at 490 euro and a fixed price website rebuild starts at 1,450 euro. Every price is on the pricing page, not behind a form.
How do we start?
Send the web address. The written check comes back within two working days and says what is holding the site back, in the order worth fixing. There is no call, nothing to install, and no obligation after it.
Can you work alongside an agency we already use?
Yes, and it is common here. Usually the split is that they keep the campaigns and I take the technical and the content, or the other way round. What matters is that one of us owns each number so nothing falls between the two.
How long before anything moves?
Technical fixes show up in weeks. Content and position take months, and on a site with few links it can take longer than that. I will tell you which of the two your site needs before you spend anything, because they have very different timelines.
Do you only work with certain industries?
No, though the work lands most often with companies and online stores selling something considered, where a buyer reads several pages before they get in touch. If your sales happen entirely in person and the site is a business card, there is usually less for me to do and I will say so.
Other places I work
Send your web address. That is the whole first step.
The written 15 point check comes back within two working days, free. It says what is holding the site back, in the order worth fixing.
